Thats funny, . . .
Our math department specifically requires PCs, not Apples, and our Mass Communications department teaches using Sony Vegas NLE, not Apple software. Seems you get more for your money elsewhere. Apple is just tooooo expensive for what you get, and you don't get enough, either.
