Sixteen times the complication
Are we talking light?
Shared Bus?
Bus speed !
Computational Awareness is key. Sixteen cores doing the same thing is just more
failure points.

Can part of the cores be targeted to application specific purposes ie Cell in PS3?
Can I have ten cores aimed at my mission critical database application and direct
access to 6 cores for my visulization project.

I guess that is the reason for GRID.

Has sun figured out a way to charge me more for the extra cores in the licensing
agreements?
