Since Macs and PC's have essentially the same parts these days this should come as no surprise. I've heard of Dell's and HP notebooks with similar LCD problems. What's really funny is the G5 - using AMD technology (Hypertransport) - calling itself the world's fastest personal computer when it can't even run with AMD's own 64-bit processor that was released months before the G5! The new G5 is very nice and very fast - but it's not the nicest or fastest. Alienware and it's ilk have the benchmarks to prove it. And they cost more than a new G5. Athlon64 is faster because of another AMD first in the PC world - the cpu has a built-in memory controller that eliminates a major bottleneck that the G5's and P4's still possess. But none of them can make a crappy LCD display look any better...
