If I were lied to, and told first that my deployment would last six months, and then told, too bad - you now in for a year, I wouldn't be too likely to re-enlist. Not to mention cutting of veteran's benefits. Look for numbers to plummet as those enlisted are released from their servitude.
Global conquest ain't easy. Either we need a robot army, or we need to bring back the draft.
