I can hear it now. The eMac is too expensive still. You can get a Dell, Gateway, eMachines etc for 499.00, 399.00, or 299.00 w/rebates of coarse.

As for me I'd much rather be in Apples place than being just another one of the pack. eMachines was doing so well that Gateway was able to buy them, and we all know how well Gateway is doing.

Dell seem to be the only PC player making any money, and in the end there can be only one Dell.
So it makes little sense for Apple to get into this type of buisness model. End of story.
