"For makers of PC memory known as double data rate synchronous dynamic RAM, 2004 is shaping up as a two-pronged winner: Prices for the current technology are surging, and a new, high-profit replacement is about to hit store shelves".

-- translates as : Good news! The punter is being made to pay more for the excessive amounts of RAM most PC hardware needs to run even a bare Windows OS. And even better news, the RAM components which will be replacing current technology mean even more profit can be creamed from the consumer!
