No Demand for Prescott, and No supply either !
Nobody with a clue would touch an overheating Prescott, that requires a special heatsink/fan/case/PSU and still runs SLOWER than a Northwood. And the handful of prototype Northwoods Intel produced for show and tell isn't worth much as the cheaper by hundreds FX51 & FX53 just punishes the 3.4 Gig. Xeon converted P4 w/L3 cache abortion like there is no tomorrow.

Intel FINALLY admitted they can't deliver a 90 nano Prescott of ANY value, that AMD's 64 bit computing is the future TODAY, that the megahertz race is over and Intel has lost badly. In fact Intel has NO competitive products for laptop-desktop or server segments since the Opteron/A64 has shipped and continues to sell in volume. IMNHO the very reason Intel developed their new CPU numbering scheme was to defraud consumers who won't have a clue about the performance of a CPU based on the new numbers, but will falsely believe the higher the number the faster the PC performance. You can see this is NOT the case in Intel's scheme... Same as the megahertz deal they've used for the past (5) years as AMD cleaned their clock with the Athlon.

Heads are starting to roll at Vulture Central and there is gonna be H*ll to pay for the next couple years. All the top brass will take their Platinum Parachutes and hit the road while stock holders take a bath. You ain't seen nothin' yet !
