Citibank Outsourcing
"Shipping software and IT services work abroad leads to higher real wages for U.S. workers through lower inflation and higher productivity, according to the study. Real wages were 0.13 percent higher in 2003 and are expected to be 0.44 percent higher in 2008, the study states."

The above statement is somehow supposed to appease the masses. What is left unsaid is that the higher wages will go to a very select FEWER wage earners in spite of greater productivity. As more and more companies try to increase their profit lines, they seem to be totally forgetting that if Americans and their multi-cultural co-workers (immigrant or otherwise) have increasingly fewer jobs, who in the United States is going to be buying from these companies or any other companies? It is not the rich who keep a nation's economy going but the average worker.
