To far out in left field for me.
I suppose it comes down to the fact that anything can be abused. (Criminals walk away from murder over thier rights being violated during the investigation or arrest.)

The problem as i see it is that patents need to be in place to protect those that have need of it, but you can't do it without opening the door to others.

Now if your asking me do patent laws need a serious overhaul my answer is ABSOLUTELY!
