Makes perfect sense to allow customer to choose ISP
Either they need to allow the telco to bundle transport and global interconnect into a single service or they need to force cable to follow the sames rules as the telco. Its unfair to treat DSL service differently regulatorily than cable modem service. Both are built ontop of monopoly transport products.

I would like to see the ISP choice pushed out to the customer, cable will say it will lead to higher costs but it will actually stop collusion. If every ISP is allowed fair access to the telco *and* cable customers then interesting new services will be made available to us which are not even on the planning process at the aggregators (telco/cable) or backbone (tier 1 ISP).

Do you really think Comcast passes the savings it gets from delivering its traffic to an ISP of its choice back to the customer or pockets it and has an unfair advantage over the telco?
