Stop living in the past
As a systems administrator I agree that past AMD chips did have a higher percentage of problems then did Intel in certain products.

That being said most of AMD's products where very reliable, the primary reason for AMD's so called "reliability" problems wasn't with the CPU but with the chipsets.

Anyone that has built more then a few of their own PC's over the last 10+ years would know this. Intel's chips are also far from perfect but in my many years of purchasing/building systems CPU related failures (Intel OR AMD) are few and far inbetween.

Of course its easy for some noob not to RTFM do something stupid and burn the proc or crush the core. Of course it's AMD's crappy CPU (yes AMD could have moved to design its chips with a heat spreader but thats besides the point).

Just an observation, if you work for a company that has IT personal that are so static as to still hold on to a concept that has been proven incorrect for years then your HR department is lacking. As an IT person I spend a large amount of my time learning, keeping up with the latest trends, testing and selecting the best product for the situation (whether AMD or Intel or ATI or Nvidia has the best product at this particular time matters little, my job is to determine which is best).
