Patent offers clue in mystery of Xbox hard drive

using HD illegal: sorry to burst your bubble, but a patent doesnt make it illegal for you to manipulate a product, thats what liscencing agreements are for, ex. when you buy a product and they give you the legal stuff to read that nobody does. the patent only makes it so no other company can sell the same setup without infringing on microsofts ideas. and about the drivers, you can write all the drivers you want, but if you sell it and you use the scheme that microsoft lays out, then you are infringing. personal use is what the name implies, personal use. how many people have been sued for modifying their xbox (not including anyone who has sold it)?; Posted by: tvita Posted on: 04/09/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
