i would like to inform you that the patent in question was filed as an application in May of 2001. unfortunately this makes it highly unlikely that it has anything to do with the next generation Xbox. if you notice, the drawings are of the current xbox, as are screen shots of game saving/loading options. so not to burst your bubble, but the reporter should possibly read into what is being patented in the above because there is no way Microsoft is going to let their patent get published before there is even a date for release.
