It is convenience and less distractions. If your business does not have anything to do with computers, why do you want executives distracted with hiring and managing computer gurus, planning where to put the computer room, extra air conditioning, dealing with off-site backups, 24 hour supervision, when to buy a new one, etc, etc. If it is about the same price, and it lets you concentrate on your business, WHY NOT? You of course still need to figure out all of the details of automating your business for a competitive advantage, but you won't spend any time on things that do NOT matter. Just pay the monthly bill for computer usage.
