Outsourcing the Outsourcing

Something is wrong with this picture. Outsourcing your Outsourcing to another company. Then in turn, they outsource the work to another company.
Where is the wonderful cost savings, this is no different than having several middlemen to go through. Building products, software, ect, [in house] is the only way to build quality software, hardware and so on.

But in the modern era, [offshoring] of all jobs to the cheapest labor markets is the status quo. Forget quality, who cares as long as it is cheap. No matter you buy the same item, replace it do to defect, it does not matter as long as it is cheap...
