1st Version of Office was for the Macintosh not Windows
Let us remember that the VERY FIRST VERSION of Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) was in fact FIRST PUBLISHED on
the Macintosh platform, and NOT on the Windows platform. This
took place way before "Microsoft" became a commonly known
name and before Windows was even invented yet. Really! This is
a fact that most Windows users do not know. I believe the
relevance of this, in part, is one reason why the Macintosh
version of Microsoft Office continues to offer a better user
experience and always receives higher ratings by professional
reviewers. There are some features available in the Windows
version that are not found in the Mac version though. The
Windows version of the Office suite also comes with Access,
which is a real plus for some Windows users. That said, when
comparing Apples to Apples for each feature found on BOTH
versions of Office, the Mac version is absolutely the better of the
two products... You can thank Microsoft's, Macintosh software
development team for this achievement. Ponder this for a
moment... Both Microsoft and Adobe got their first start on the
Macintosh platform, the platform where true technology
innovation is a daily routine.
