These guys don't get what "pre-order" means.
"... customers will not be guaranteed a PS3 on Nov. 17, when the system is scheduled for launch ..."

Someone needs to get these guys a dictionary. The whole *idea* of a pre-order is that I give them part of the money head of time so they can make a little extra money (in the form of interest) and have a better accounting of how many units they will need in the store; in exchange for that, they agree to set aside a unit for me, thus guaranteeing that I will be able to get my hands on one when they're up for sale.

If they can't guarantee that I'll be able to stroll into my local GameStop any time I like *on* (or after) the release date to pick up my PS3, all they're doing is relieving me of my $100, which is appreciated but unnecessary.
