9. Put data dots on key documents that can't be photo-copied. Data dots are microscopic chips that are invisible and have an ID of the owner inside them.
10. Attach radio hardware to prototypes or key documents that can't be duplicated (large documents that are bound make it easier for the leakers to just steal the documents).
11. Phoney projects -- they actually did this, but they also attached tracking software in the attachents that would cause problems. So, why not just let the press publish the phoney information instead of trying to track via email?
12. Give the board company cars that have GSM tracking? If they sign-off on the GSM, it is legal and ethical. But this might not be effective since the leakers are generally going to use another car if they hand over documents to the press.
13. Use ethincal private detective measures like following them when they leave a board meeting to meet the press. Or perhaps later. With large documents that are not in electronic format, they are forced to deliver the goods in person or via a messenger. Then they can be followed all the way to the leak source.
14. Don't hire idiots like Carley and you probably won't have leaks on your board.
