Excuses are like a**h****, everyone...
has one. "They don't treat me fairly because I'm a woman." "I have an alcohol problem." "I was abused by a clergyman 40 years ago." Etc. Etc.

Those last two were used by former Rep. Foley last week to explain why he was hitting on Congressional pages. I would have respected him more if he'd just said, "I'm a pervert."

My wife complained about the "G.O.B. Network", for years. I finally had a heart-to-heart with her. Told her how simple we men really are, and coached her about how to play the game instead of whining about it. Well guess what? She's now the COO of a major corporation. Her boss is a woman, her boss's boss is a woman, and all of her direct reports except one are men. She knows who won Monday Night Football, and what it means to, "man up". You may be fairly certain that when she says "froggy", the men that work for her jump, but it's not because she's a "Tiger Woman"--she's not. It's because they respect her because she relates to them and she isn't a whiner.
