Lawyer Blogging Is Wrong Doing
Legals make the worst bloggers. Didn't Abramoff educate us so. This is owing to a notion that every criminal deserves the best defense possible be that in a court of law or the court of public opinion. It is about coming up with doubt about guilt rather than finding truth.

Because of that a lawyer will lie by at least ommision if not outright to support the story that keeps his/her client out of jail.

Compare and contrast with journalists. The jounalists that broke the Barry Bonds doping story are still in jail; no one else (IE the trainer) is and the wrong doers still play.

What we are seeing in our society is the attempted abrogation of journalism by lawyers who in real time (rather than perception is reality time) are struggling for relevancy.

Tom Perkins and George Keyworth are heros like Penefield Jackson who just could not stumach consumer wrong doing any longer. Perkins had more than 20 years as a board member. Keyworth had retired as a member and was begged back. This fellows did not want HP holding back on multi-core multi-processor technology and instead dumping Itanium gear on US consumers because HP had "earned" a favorable discount on Itanium, likely through the Compac merger.
