Linux + Java to rule the world...
The one-two punch strikes again.
UNIX/Linux + Java = the future.

Just to validate this claim, let's look at some
jobs off of dice.com:

UNIX (aka Linux) @ 5309 hits
J2EE @ 4803 hits
Java @ 4803 hits
Oracle @ 4736 hits
...
Windows @ 4009 hits (mostly low-paying tech
support)
.Net @ 2648 hits
C# @ 664 hits
SQL Server @ 1849 hits

Linux/UNIX + Java/J2EE + Oracle = High
demand/high deployment/enterprise class.
Windows + C#/.Net + SQL Server = Low demand/low
deployment/small business class.

There are a lot of Windows desktops, but MS gets
creamed in the server & embedded markets (where
true quality and cost-savings count).
