Corporations have to protect their business secrets. This woman was acting in the best interests of the corporation, not in her own self interest.

Yes, she went overboard. For that she should be fined $10,000 thrown in jail. We need the prison space for rapists, muderers and child molesters, not heads of corporations trying to run legitimate businesses.

If you want to throw corporate types in jail throw that Larry Ellison in jail -- for insider trading. He has done it too many times and escaped any real punishment.
