In every civilisation of which I'm aware over the last 3000 years, the constraints of law have been inversely proportional to wealth. It's no more true here and now than it was in Republican Rome or Periclean Athens, and probably less so.

If wealth didn't have its little perks, who'd go to all the effort of becoming wealthy? happy
