Big Brother Bush Encourages Big business to Follow His Lead
Although it doesn't appear that ultra-sensitive data such as Social Security numbers were revealed in the HP fiasco--and I caution we don't know this for sure yet--the victims' personal phone records constitute a major invasion of their privacy. One of the primary causes of identity theft today is the favoritism of big business, and an environment in which it is accountable to no one but shareholders.

Patricia Dunn should have known that what she was doing was wrong, but then so should the dummies that take laptops home with sensitive data in them. George W. Bush has decided to run this country his way, breaking laws or making new ones to fit his needs. So why shouldn't Patricia Dunn? She shouldn't, and neither should the Bush/Cheney team.

Americans must take back control over their names and personal data, and we need federal legislation now to enforce this kind of regulation. See more at my blog, "The Dunning Letter," at:
