- A sign of the times
-
This is a sign of how far we have fallen as a nation into believing the ends justify the means. If the US government can use such justification to commit torture and illegal renditions, why should we get upset at HP doing what is in its best interest? Perhaps I've grown too old, but I never thought I'd live to see the day when the ends justify any means whatsoever. Next we'll condone HP sending out goons to torture folks into making statements because a director did, indeed, give out information that should have stayed private.
And on top of it, some folks obviously believe that because some reporters have been inappropriate that condones what HP did. I think all the HP directors and management ought to take a course in business ethics! What they did may have been legal, but it certainly is unethical, regardless of the ethics of any reporters.
I personally have severed all ties with HP and will not do business with them again until they have earned my trust. They can begin to earn my trust again by being forthright about what they did, when they did it, and how they will make amends for it! - Posted by: JoeFranko Posted on: 09/22/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
