- Missed at least one point of the article
- The first two posters seemed to have missed at least one major point of the article -- giving small businesses the ability to use tools previously not really available to them. VPN access is great, but only if you have the corporate infrastructure to host the applications into which you are tunneling. No way a 2-person shop is running SAP. They can, however, use Salesforce.com. This same theme applies to all kinds of applications now. I have nothing against VPN or terminal sessions -- I just don't have a corporate IT department to build and host the infrastructure! Whereas before that left me out in the cold for some types of applications, now I can get SaaS versions of many of them. It helps to level the playing field for me and many like me.
