Turn off when not in use
Maybe we could all turn our PCs off when we're not using them. An increasing number of people are ''leaving them on all the time'', and for no real reason.

I don't know if we knew about any ''greenhouse effect'' until we had computers, so maybe we just haven't yet realized that the computers ARE causing the problem (I have no evidence to back this up)

My brother and dad leave theirs on all night and day for no real reason. The only issue I could really see, is if it starts up really slow, or if you run maintenance software at night or something. Get the thing tuned so it starts fast (TuneXP) and run maintenance sometimes. Otherwise, shut it off!

I don't run my PC at night cuz it's a bit noisy, and I'm a light sleeper, and I figure it would keep me awake a few extra minutes before I fell asleep. But I don't need it at night, and I don't need to wake up and immediately get on it...I can turn it on, use the restroom, brush my teeth, come in and it will be ready. It only takes about 2 min to boot now.
