Now if sleep mode actually WORKED...
As an IT manager, I can't implement any sort of mandated energy saving mode because 50% of the time the machine refuses to come out of standby/hibernate properly. Waiting for a reboot costs more in productivity than we spend in power. (emissions concerns aside)
Give a fleet of PCs that wake up like Macs and I'll have them going to sleep after 5 mins.
