Where in the article did it say the purpose of the Simputer was "to build a hugely profitable software industry"?

Where does it say that all the applications built on top of the Linux-based OS must be open source?

Finally, who mouthed the axiom that open source software can't be profitable?

With a home market of nearly 1 billion people and another 2 billion very near by, the Indians don't need approval from US buyers for this to be successful.
