Because Windows can't scale. Period.

Linux however runs on anything from cellphones to the world's most powerful supercomputers.

You're stuck in a corner admitting Linux can do something that Windows wouldn't even begin to handle.

Of course when faced with this you break out the BSD ploy which is as predictable as Old Faithful. Sadly, it doesn't work.
