According to other articles, the Roadrunner system will run Linux. The predecessor box, Blue Gene, also runs on Linux.
Does everything have to be an AMD versus Intel, Windows versus Linux with people who post around here?
The details of the architecture are not available yet, but the role of the Cell processors versus the role of the Opterons will be interesting.
