I already pay for my bandwidth. Then, I pay my VOIP provider. You are saying I should also have to pay the Telco also?
My VOIP is not like phone service. I pick up my router and take it to Germany (I live in the USA) with me. Plug it into an ethernet conection in my hotel room (Which I will have to pay the hotel the ISP service). Then, you could call me on my local phone number (Same one you would dial if I was still in the USA) and pay nothing more than a local call. On the other end, I would receive the call in my hotel room, and pay nothing extra. Can your phone do that? Maybe a cell phone, but then again, you are already paying for that type of service, why should you have to pay more?
VOIP is like having a phone, but then again not. Either way, I'm already paying for my bandwidth, for what I want to use it for. Why should I have to pay again?
Also, like other people here, what's next, IM, streaming video????
No, keep things how they are, we (And our VOIP providers) are already paying for the bandwidth, what we do with it is our business! - Posted by: bchesmer Posted on: 03/29/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
