Why Windows boxes are always slower than Macs
It's the time you have to spend trying to learn how they work.
The user interface is so totally inconsistent that it totally
frustrates any attempts at learning what the rules are.

Some programs open all their documents in windows within a
main window and only create one task bar button, others open
documents in separate windows and create a task bar button for
each document, others open all their documents in windows
within a main window and still create a task bar button for each
document, and then some either open documents in the same
window or separate windows, depending on how you open them.

And then there are those idiotic "right-click" menus. These are a
total waste of time. Some commands just don't appear when you
need them, like when you select text in a dialog text field and
right-click on it hoping to copy it, but all the menu says is
"What's this?" Sometimes when you right-click in a window to
"refresh" the view (something you never need to do on the Mac,
by the way) the refresh command isn't on the menu. Click again,
in exactly the same spot, and suddenly, there it is!

I've come to the conclusion that you're better off ripping the
right button off the damn mouse so you don't waste your time
with their buggy right-click menus, except that there are cases
where they've neglected to make those commands available
anywhere else, or else they've made it insanely difficult to figure
out what menu they're on.

Take Outlook Express, for example. Where's the command to
empty the trash? Well, emptying the trash is what you'd call an
action, so it must be on the "Actions" menu, right? WRONG! It's
on the "Tools" menu! Tools? Emptying trash is a tool? I've been
emptying trash cans for a long time, and I've never even USED a
tool to empty the trash, so why in hell is "Empty Trash" on a
menu called "Tools"? It just doesn't make sense!

I could go on all day, but I think you get the drift. Windows is a
pile of poorly designed, inconsistent, idiotic garbage that works
like they set out to deliberately make it hard to use.

I like being productive while I'm using a computer. That's why I
love my Macs. They are designed to be easy to use by people
who think about what they're doing and expect things to make
sense.
