Microsoft and Sony
I'm sure somebody has nearly gone blind playing too much X-
Box on a bad TV. As for the software, I think all that Microsoft's
software has done is cause great amounts of undue stress when
Windows tanks at someone's deadline causing lost data and a lot
of hard feelings. Linux Geek might have missunderstood that
viruses, spyware and worms were only of the computer kind and
nobody ever died to my knowlege from a computer virus,
although some may have wished death upon themselves.

Now Sony's battery explosions on some of those Dells might
actually kill somebody. They seem to be pretty violent. Apple
and Dell are the two education computer leaders so the number
of bad laptop batteries that have gone into educational
computers might be pretty high. It could replace driveby
shootings as the teenage favorite form of violence. As for their
software and other hardware, it's only dangerous in the same
way as the X-Box is.

I'm joking so don't take me too seriously in this matter. It takes
guts to recall millions of batteries. Apple and especially Dell for
being the first to recall should should get a pat on the back for
backing up their products. Imagine how many batteries Sony
sold before they realized they had a problem. I'm sure Apple and
Dell aren't the only ones to use Sony's battery technology. I don't
know about Dell but I know from experience Apple is really good
about backing their products. Since Apple recalled their
batteries, it kind of takes Dell off the hook a little. Jokes aside
about exploding laptops, it took Cajones to do such a big recall
and before anyone else knowing that Sony sold those batteries
to everyone. I have more respect for Dell now as a company.
