Yet in Dell's case
Dell stated early on that for their side of the battery recall that it was NOT going to impact their upcoming quarterly results. Sounds like Dell and Sony may have a difference of opinion on just how much 'financial assistance' the po' lil' ol' battree mak'uh frum Toke-yo is going to fork over when the final bill is tallied.

Usually it's only the lawyers who win when that happens.

But if indeed Dell is expecting Sony to pick up the lion's share of the recall costs, why shouldn't Apple do the same? Although...Apple has been in a giving mood of late...$100M to Creative...shady stock options to execs...all sorts of dirt to the SEC...
