Ah, MagOps. I knew I recognised the principle...
...just not the name of it.

To use such old tech on modern machines would be like bubble-memory memory sticks. Though if they're using blue lasers, it may have some potential.

Of course, if they can figure how to change data on flash drives without the need to erase entire "blocks," this "heat or dots" divide will be moot.
