The concept is solid and stands to benefit many
I recon this is a great project. Sure there are people who will have survival priorities outside working on a computer and sure they could benefit more with tools for generating food but this is an excellent initiative that serves to benefit everyone including less well to do Americans, Brits and other nationalities.

The bickering about what OS drives this is irrelevant. If it includes the tools used everyday + provides a cheap access to other tools and software [without all the FUD ? Open source does provide for this], this must be good.

My hat goes of to those working on and driving this project ? as it does for Bill and Melinda and the many others working to better the lives of those in desperate need.

And yes?. I will happily pay a higher price for several of these puppies to help subsidies them for their intended users.
