- Xeon 7000s are always the last to get new cores
- For those complaining about the fact that these Xeons are still based on NetBurst, don't forget Xeon 7000s are always the last to get new cores. Usually, the desktop line get the new core first, then the 2-proc, then the 4-proc gets it last. In this case, the 65nm Xeon 7100s were to replace even older 90nm Xeon 7000s, which because they were 90nm, give off even more heat.
