Compatibility concern
Thanks for the info. It was my understanding that if you connect
one of the new players (hd-dvd or blue ray) with component video
or dvi, then the signal is down graded to standard dvd resolution
for copy protection purposes. Do you know if this is true? I am
aware that my older set cannot display 1080p, but I can live with
1080i. As long as hd-dvd will give me true 1080i, then I'm in!
