Who gives a rip?
When? If? How long? before the conversion to digital/HD Television is a matter of $$$$MONEY$$$$. HOW MANY BITS PER FREQUENCE. Those who understand capitalism and that it drives our bank accounts will also understand it drives our government and that it has lost millions, even billions every time there is a delay. Those are the people how give a rip. Now to get to what the story was addressing and why.
There is no going back, once you use DSL or cable broad band, dial up is not acceptable; when you see digital on a calibrated CRT analog is forever frustrating; if you get the oppertunity to see HD on a calibrated LCD or Plasma then digital will always feel inferior. HD with 5.1, 6.1 .... set up, positioned and calibrated is mind blowing. The public has been promised this however, the 'trunk slammers' have been and are continueing to tear down the consumers hopes. What's needed? Information? No, not just that, but training also. In short, someone who gives a rip! As the artical shows, there are some very well to do companies and individuals who are seeing $$$ fade away and are taking the reins back. And thats because to many front liners(big box stores)are speaking the talk but don't know the walk. So what's the problem? Those who are putting bill, the end consumer, actually give a rip about what they get in exchange for what they give. Therefore, the service/training is out weighting the product.
