Perfect example of consumer confusion
---if the US Gov would make TV stations swich befor 2008 it would be better.---

The switch being made is to digital television, not to high definition television.

Note also that the switch is unlikely to go through as planned, as once again, Congress will back down and put it off a few more years--who wants to run for re-election as "the guy who broke your television"?
