- RE: Price
- You know, when the mini was first announced, I was amongst the many that said 'you got to be kidding me!' I couldn't see the value of it at that price-point, especially when $50 more got you a regular ipod with 15GB. Then I found a few in a CompUSA and bought some for the purpose of selling them on eBay (gotta love supply-n-demand.) When I had the boxes in my hand I started to see the attraction. The 'actual size' image of the mini on the box starts giving you the idea how tiny and sleek this player is. Then I held a demo model in my hand and played with it... that REALLY drove it home. Suddenly I was no longer interested in the regular iPod as much as I was 2 weeks ago. At that point I knew I had to have the mini. I can't explain why, as it makes little rational sense from price/performance perspective, but the mini has it on! I kept 1 silver one for myself and I am loving it. I am sure I would love a regular iPod as well, but there is definitely something about this little player that rules.
