Prior art on record: On an episode of the BBC TV Program Not The Nine O'Clock News from the 1980's Rowan Atkinson refers to a small piece of contained technology comically as a "Podule".

Also any small container of technology has for many years (prior) to the Apple one been referred to as a Pod. Let alone nature's own P Pod.

If people (such as Apple) are feigning confusion, they should remember that for each letter difference in a name there are 26 variations, and for each extra letter a multiple of 26 letters, i.e. 26x26x26x26x26 ...
