My problem with this is...
Only the marketing dept works in base 10. The rest of the industry is binary based. As it should be. The data stored on the hard drive is measured in binary, not base 10. Why more people aren't peeved over this I'll never know. If Dunkin Donuts decided to go base ten and sell "dozens" that numbered ten instead of 12, the police depts in the US would revolt! I know. A bit over simplified, but you get the idea. Changing the measurements SOLElY for the purpose of sales and misleading consumers is a bad thing.

* to those in Europe and the rest of the world. I did not misspell Dunkin or Donuts, it's how the company here in the US spells it's name. :o)

** To those in Law Enforcement who may have been offended by my joke.... get over it. It was a joke. I laugh at the computer geek jokes and they are as old and worn out as jokes about Cops and pastries! :o)
