I have purchased three Intel mobos in the last year ...
and have been recommending them to my customers. One of my customers just bought an Intel dual Xeon board partly as a result of my recommendation. And this is precisely the reason that I have moved to Intel exclusively. Although AMD has given a lot of lip service to open source, it is Intel that is really coming through. One Linux install on an Intel board will sell you on Intel. I can do a full Linux install, apps and all, on an Intel board in less than one hour and KNOW that EVERYTHING will work without having to worry about any manual configuration. Its absolutely awesome. I just loaded Linux on a dual P4 Intel board for a customer yesterday and the only hitch was configuring the dual head feature (which we were not using) which took an extra few minutes. I also have systems based on Asus, Abit, and Soyo, but Intel and Linux are a great match. My first choice any day.
