That's a surprise; the DRX-500U works great
I've been using the DRX-500U heavily for some time now and it works great on burning and reading CD's and DVD's. I initially had trouble but it was the Sonic software. Since I went to Record-Now by Veritas/Stomp it's been flawless. Can't comment on the support but that wouldn't surprise me.
