The best reason to go dual
For me going dual isn't a matter of making life easier by not having to worry which disks to buy. I mean come on, it's not THAT tough to remember which one you use. And the burned disks work in either kind of player, so it's not a compatability with your friends sort of thing.

The best reason to go dual is you never know if one format will die. If you pick the wrong one, you'll be left with a worthless burner. Just think of all those people who bought Betamax in the early 80's. Even having better technology than VHS didn't help in Beta the end.
