Can AMD hold that number?
AMD's server market share should grow this quarter, too. They've got momentum and mindshare, and Intel's chips are too new to affect the current quarter very much. If that proves to be the case, it won't be celebration or panic time for either company.

The real test is whether or not AMD can continue to grow the following quarter, in the face of the best Intel can throw at them. If they can, that will spell *big* trouble for Intel.

Won't know if that will happen until there are more benchmarks and the stability of Intel's new wares are tested.

But while Intel slept (the past two years), AMD further entrenched their version of 64-bit. That alone could keep Intel playing catch-up for the foreseeable future.
