why you should care...
because no one music store has everything. You shoudl want yoru hardware to have the maximum capabilities for your use. that's like knowing your DVD player can easily play audio CDs for no extra cost to you, but saying you don't want it.
it not not be in Apple's best interest, but it sure is in the interest of iPod owners.
