Real's Glaser exhorts Apple to open iPod

They've got to be kidding

Sources for the iPod include 1) the iTunes Music Store; 2) my own CDs I already have purchased; 3) future CDs I might buy.

If the shoe were on the other foot, Real or Microsoft or anybody else in Apple's position would do what Apple is doing: dominate the market. Or does Glaser also whine "Waah! My PC doesn't run (fill in the blank) OS, only Windows. Waah!" Or "Waah! My Pocket PC doesn't run Palm software!" Etc etc - If you want an iPod so bad, buy one! (And you know you want one, you know you do...)

I agree with the other commenter who said that as long as Apple provides lots of choices at a competitive price on iTMS, WHO CARES about other lower quality PROPRIETARY formats?
